This added convenience made my trip much smoother, as I could easily take care of my laundry without leaving the comfort of my accommodation. The additional space also allowed for a more relaxed environment where I could unwind after a day of exploring.
One minor inconvenience was the location of the first door on my level, which occasionally created a bit of noise when guests came and went. It was a slight distraction, but overall, it didn’t detract from my experience.

Brand-new and generous sized rooms with a large balcony and a cleaner to show up plus huge beds. Perfect and fantastic location, within walking distance of Rusty's Markets. The pool area is excellent too. Highly courteous staff, easy check-in and roomy bar.

I recently stayed for four days at a lovely hotel for a quick summer getaway. The location was fantastic, right across from the lagoon and boardwalk, making it easy to explore nearby restaurants and shops. Our room was comfortable, equipped with an in-room washer and dryer, which was perfect for managing our wet towels. The staff were friendly, and the pool area was a relaxing spot to unwind after a day of adventures.
I would definitely recommend this hotel.

I loved the view and the fact that I could smoke on my balcony! I loved the bed - very comfortable. Breakfast at the Wink cafe downstairs was yummy and extremely reasonably priced. Great location.
Longlife milk.

I really was like I got my money's worth with the spacious room and fine ocean view. The location was perfect, surrounded by great restaurants and shops, and the staff was friendly and helpful throughout our stay.
The breakfast selection could use a bit more variety.

I was particularly pleased with the location of the hotel and the fact that our two bdrm apartment had separate entrances and key cards as we were traveliing with our young adult daughter. It was a real bonus for her to have nearness, yet independence. Loction, though, cannot be beaten; near the lagoon, wharfs/piers, shops and the many fascinating restaurants/ cafes on The Esplanade.
I did not appreciate being given a bill when I arrived for an account which was pre-paid. This was stressful and I needed to ring my bank for confirmation that I owed nothing. (The bill they gave me also gave me a free night, whilst the amount deducted from my bank by Booked.net did not, even though I was told I would pay "4 nights for the price of 3". I paid about an extra $246. The hotel's manager quickly sorted the mess (not the $246, that was never resolved) and apologised for the "mix up".

The room overall was very nice and modern and spacious. Excellent location with pubs, restaurants, travel agents all close by. Beautiful ocean view room. I appreciated the sauna facility which I only used once - but it is good to have those extras in a hotel. I was offered a late check out of $50/hour after 12 pm - which I thought was extremely expensive. Overall great location if you don't plan to stay in the room the entire holiday period.
Mantra in general has been excellent whenever I have stayed at their regional and city based hotels in NSW. But I was quite dissapointed with the Cairns Mantra Esplanade. I was dissapointed that even though it goes as a hotel - you have to pay $25 for your room to be serviced/cleaned on a daily basis. We had to pay $1/each extra for fresh towels etc and there was a price tag on everything. If it is a hotel chain (as opposed to their self serviced apartments) then it should provide cleaning services like normal hotels. Bathrooms were a bit ancient.

Great views, but some quirks
The hotel's location is perfect. Just a short stroll to the waterfront and nearby restaurants made exploring Cairns good. The one-bedroom apartment was spacious and clean, offering a fantastic esplanade view.

Even if you have paid before arrival at hotel they will take/hold $100 from your credit card. You would expect the funds back on check out. I have still been waiting a week after checkout for the funds back. I am on a budget as travelling around australia is costly. However I am now short $100 which could be a days worth of food. The Mantra has very much inconvenient me on my holiday. Dont except to contact the hotel either they dont answer and make you leave a message, which you dont get a respond back on the day or longer.
